"The free lessons actually helped me a lot"
I didn’t expect much because free stuff usually ends up being useless for me, but these lessons helped way more than I thought they would. I’ve been struggling to figure things out on my own, so it was kind of a relief to finally find something useful without having to pay for it
"I had kind of a mixed experience with..."
I had kind of a mixed experience with this. Some of the instructors were really solid and clearly knew what they were talking about, and then other lessons just felt rushed, like they were trying to get through the material too fast. I’d be following along fine one minute, then suddenly I’d have to pause and go look up another video just to understand what was going on. For the price, I expected the teaching to feel more consistent across the course. It’s not bad overall, just a bit uneven.

"Pricing left me a bit confused"
I was trying to figure out the pricing, but I couldn’t tell what applied when. At first I thought one price was for the current period, then later it seemed like it changed or maybe kicked in at a different time. I might’ve missed something, but the timeline and costs weren’t clear enough for me.

"Helpful for quick wins, but I’m left wanting more"
I’ve used Egghead mostly for more advanced JavaScript and React topics, and to be fair, some of the lessons have helped me out when I just needed a quick example or wanted to see how another developer handled something. It’s nice when you’re stuck and just need someone to point you in the right direction, because it feels like I’m always the one wasting time digging through half-explained docs.
That said, a lot of the courses feel way too short if you’re past the basics. Sometimes they jump straight into the code without really explaining the why, which is frustrating when you’re trying to actually understand it and not just copy along. It’s decent overall, but if you already know the fundamentals, it can feel like you paid money just to be left with more questions.

"I’ve learned some really useful stuff on egghead..."
I’ve learned some really useful stuff on egghead, and a lot of the videos are clear and easy to follow. But yeah, the quality isn’t always the same. Some lessons feel a little rough, audio gets louder or quieter from one video to the next, and a few recordings look kinda old or blurry. Still worth using for the content, just wish the production was more consistent across the courses

"Super easy to use"
I’ve been using egghead.io for a few weeks now and it’s been really simple. Lessons load quick, search does what I need, and I can jump back in where I left off without any trouble.

"Cancellation Was Easy, But I Felt a Bit Ignored"
Cancelling was easy enough and I didn’t run into any real hassle. I will say the whole process felt a little impersonal, like no one really noticed or cared that I was leaving, but at least it got done without a fight.
"Runs smoothly, but finding my way around takes effort"
egghead.io has been running smoothly for me so far. Pages load fast, the videos start right away, and I can jump between lessons on my laptop without any annoying lag. The only thing is it still feels like I have to put in a little more effort than I’d like to find exactly where I want to go, but performance-wise, I haven’t had any real issues.

"Usually feels current, which I appreciate"
I've used egghead.io off and on for a while, mostly when I'm trying to catch up on React or JavaScript stuff. I’m usually skeptical when a site says things like “fresh content” or “industry-ready” because that kind of polished company wording can mean basically nothing, but egghead actually does feel like it keeps up well.
Some of the courses are short, but that works for me. I can usually find something relevant without wasting a bunch of time digging through old, outdated lessons. Overall, it’s been useful enough that I’d give it 5 stars

"Easy to Find the Right Lessons"
I’ve had a really smooth experience finding courses here. The search works well, and the navigation is simple enough that I never feel lost or confused. It feels reliable and easy to use, which makes me trust the platform more.

"Finally, lessons that don’t leave me stranded"
I’ve taken enough online lessons to know the moment when everything suddenly goes off the rails and I’m sitting there wondering what I missed. Thankfully, that didn’t happen here. The lessons are super clear, the videos usually get right to the point, and the pace feels really manageable. The examples are simple without being boring, and when I forget something later, it’s easy to jump back in and find what I need. it makes learning feel way less overwhelming.

"Great first impression and solid lessons"
Right from the first lesson, I had a good feeling about this course. The videos are short, but they still explain everything clearly, which made it easy to stay focused. I ended up learning a lot without ever feeling bored or overwhelmed.

"Code examples that just click"
The examples are short and actually make sense. I could copy them, tweak a couple things, and get going without overthinking it. There’s something about it that makes the whole process feel a lot less frustrating.

"Works great on my phone"
I’ve used a few lesson apps before that were slow or awkward on mobile, but this one has been really smooth. The lessons load fast and they’re easy to watch on my phone.

"Billing question was sorted out quickly"
I had a small question about my bill and they got it fixed really fast. I’ve dealt with billing issues before with other companies and it’s usually a pain, so this was a nice change. No hassle at all, and I’m happy with how it was handled.

"The learning paths feel kind of all over the place"
I’m not saying the content is bad or anything, because there’s definitely useful stuff in there. It’s just that the order feels messy, and I kept wondering what I was supposed to do next. Maybe it makes sense to other people, but for me it was harder to follow than it should’ve been

"Offline access has been a lifesaver on my commute"
I use egghead.io a lot on the train, so the offline access has been super handy. I usually download a few lessons before I leave the house and then I don’t have to stress about the signal dropping halfway through. The videos load well, and it usually remembers where I left off, which is nice. I did ask support about downloads once and they basically said, “Just save them ahead of time and you should be good offline,” which has pretty much been my experience. It makes it way easier to keep learning when I’m not sitting at my desk. Overall, I’m happy with it.

"Captions have been frustrating"
I was expecting the captions and transcripts to be more reliable because the website makes it sound like they’re really helpful for following along. But in my experience, they miss a lot of what’s being said, which makes the lessons hard to keep up with. It’s confusing because the site gives one impression, but actually using it feels different

"Good if you're starting from zero"
I’m impatient when I’m learning something new, so I appreciated that the lessons were simple and didn’t make me feel lost right away. As a total beginner, I could actually follow along without getting frustrated every five minutes.

"Nice quick lessons"
I like that most of the lessons are short and easy to get through. It makes it less of a chore to keep up with. A few of them feel like they could go into more detail, but for the most part the length works well for me.
